Ok, time for one of those threads for us less educated to ask questions? if we are really lucky, someone might even answer them.
So first question, I have missed this mornings Aussie innings, but just been watching a few replays at the break and saw Pontings dismisal. So question, Hafeez, bowling with right hand, had a square pad in his left hand palm - what was it and I thought bowlers weren't allowed to have anything on their fingers/hands which was why swann kept removing the plasters while bowling in Australia?? I guess there is an obvious answer this and someone is rolling their eyes as they read it - sowwweeeee :-/

Well, as for what it is, I'm not sure. Appears to be a plaster on his palm.
I am fairly certain that you are allowed to have whatever you like on your non-bowling hand, so long as it's not something to aid catching. Swanny just had to take the plaster off his spinning fingers, for obvious reasons.

Hafeez suffers from 'hairy palm', but only on his left hand.
