We are finally done with dreaded Guyana and its tropical thunderstorms. Fortunately it didn't cost England their place in the 2nd round but it did cost Greg Lamb his chance to bowl and continue his streak of taking a wicket in every T20I and ODI he has ever played in. Despite scoring 14 runs he wasn't able to get over 24.5 points as he only bowled 1 ball.
Today we have two matches which should be clear cut. Bangaldesh on a losing streak of 11 games are unlikely to have enough for Australia, especially if Australia are bale ot bat first and bring their WWW firepower to bear. I like David Warner to score over 24.5 runs (CricketBetLive) on what is apparently a decent pitch against lacklustre fast bowling.
South Africa will murder Afghanistan in the evening game. They won't show any mercy in exploiting the Afghani weakness against the short ball and I'm almost tempted by under 10.5 runs for the opening partnership, the chances of a couple of streaky fours scare me too much. Of the lines up at the moment nothing else is particularly appealing, I don't quite have the balls to go under a batsman whose run line is 8.5!
The most interesting thing today will be a chance to take at look at the Bridgetown wicket for the first time in the tournament. I will tweet later with anything else that grabs me (@greatneb). Good luck.
